Update

I think this is going to be so much FUN. I have had such positive feedback - it is crazy!

Those of you that have offered to bring their machines thus far- thank you- please do! Anyone that replies after today 7.14.09 do not worry about bringing your machine - I think we will have plenty. We may need a couple of people to bring their iron and ironing boards so if you are willing please let me know.

Pillowcase Dress

OK- so I LOVE this dress. This picture does not do it justice. It is so darn cute! CARRIE ARCHIBALD made this awesome dress for my Miah and she will be teaching us how to make these on August 25th. If I can do it - anyone can.

If you plan on coming please reply "I want to do that!" in your post - so I can have an idea of how many people are coming. You are welcome to invite a friend just let me know. I am hoping to have a couple more of my friends bring their sewing machines so we can crank them out! Kristi C and Lisa M - yes that is you - I will be calling you.

Items needed:
  • One pillowcase or 1 yard of fabric.
  • Coordinating thread.
  • 1/2 inch knit elastic - (which I have some if you forget)
  • Any embellishments that you may want to add to the dress.

How many times have you said:

If you are like me....tons of times. So I have decided to set a time each month for all my friends to meet at my house and to do just that. I have such an amazing group of talented women around me that it almost seems crazy that we don't do this. I KNOW that a lot of us are just doing what we can to get by during these tough economic times so my goal when planning our monthly project is to keep it least expensive as possible.

So with that said...are you ready.....First Project is...

PILLOW CASE DRESSES

I will be posting pictures soon of some that my friend Carrie made for Miah. Thanks Carrie :)

The Date:

August 25th, 2009 from 12:30p to 3:00p.

I will post in a week or so the supplies you will need and the ones I already have. I do have several different kinds of fabric on hand that you can buy at my cost which is $4.50 a yard. I will post a pic of what I have as well.

One last thing - please if at all possible please leave the children at home or swap monthly with your friends :)
